A patch and pill combination to help replace the hormones your body produces less of during menopause, and to help with sleep, mood and hot flashes.

Let’s find something that helps with:

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats at three a.m.
  • Brain fog, mid-sentence
  • Mood swings
  • Stubborn weight gain
  • Loss of libido

Your plan includes:

  • Health assessment reviewed by a licensed provider
  • Ongoing provider check-ins and dose adjustments
  • Shipped discreetly by a licensed pharmacy

Treatment Information

  • One patch. One pill. A real clinical plan behind it. The patch delivers estrogen steadily through the skin throughout the day, while the progesterone, taken by mouth, balances the estrogen and protects the womb lining.

  • The patch is applied to clean, dry skin below the waist — usually the lower abdomen or buttock — and worn continuously, replaced on the schedule your provider sets (most patches are changed once or twice a week). Avoid applying it to the same spot twice in a row, and press it firmly so the edges stay sealed. The progesterone is taken by mouth as directed, usually at night. Your provider reviews whether treatment is right for you before prescribing and adjusts your plan over time. Your patch strength and progesterone dose are always set through that clinical review.

  • Active Ingredients:

    • Estradiol (transdermal patch)

    • Progesterone (oral, micronised)

    Dosage Information:

This plan pairs a transdermal estradiol patch with oral micronised progesterone. The patch delivers a steady dose of estradiol through the skin, and your provider sets and adjusts the strength based on how you respond. Progesterone is prescribed alongside it to protect the womb lining.

  • Hormone therapy is prescription-only. A licensed provider reviews your health history before any prescription is issued, and treatment is prescribed only where clinically appropriate. Prescription issuance is not guaranteed and is solely at the discretion of the reviewing provider. Hormone therapy is not appropriate for every individual; speak with your provider about the risks and benefits specific to your health history. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.

    • Fewer hot flashes

    • Better sleep

    • Smoother moods

    • Healthier bones

Combined HRT Patch FAQs

  • One of the benefits of using an estrogen patch is that some women find it more convenient than creams or pills. Creams and pills need to be used or taken daily, but the patch offers a “set it and forget it” approach because it only needs to be changed once or twice a week. The transdermal system also delivers estrogen directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the liver and providing a steady stream of hormones.

  • Estrogen patches are a transdermal form of menopause hormone therapy (MHT). The patches work by delivering a continuous, low dose of estradiol (a form of estrogen) through the skin for direct absorption into the bloodstream. This method provides consistent, continuous hormone delivery for ongoing relief from menopausal symptoms.

  • Progesterone is prescribed alongside the estradiol patch to protect the womb lining. Progesterone also has a natural calming effect on the brain, reducing nighttime wakefulness and helping you sleep through to morning. It’s taken by mouth at night, as directed by your provider.

  • Many women begin to notice improvements in mood and sleep within a few weeks of starting the patch. However, every woman’s experience is different, and it can take up to three months to feel the full benefits. Individual results vary.

  • You may experience mild side effects as your body adjusts to the medication, including redness or irritation at the application site, breast tenderness, headaches, or nausea. Serious side effects are possible. Tell your provider about any side effects or changes you notice so they can review your plan.

  • The patch should be applied to a clean, dry, and hairless area of skin on the lower abdomen, upper buttocks, or outer part of the upper thigh. Placing it below the waist allows for greater absorption because these areas of the body have more fatty tissue. Rotating the application site with each new patch will also help reduce the risk of skin irritation.

  • The patch is worn continuously and replaced on the schedule your provider sets — most patches are changed once or twice a week. Avoid applying it to the same spot twice in a row, and press it firmly so the edges stay sealed.

  • Yes, the estrogen patch is waterproof, so you can swim with it on. Wearing the patch under your bathing suit can help keep it from falling off. You can also bathe or shower while wearing the patch. Just be mindful not to scrub the area too harshly. Although it’s uncommon, estrogen patches don’t always stick well in saunas. A different form of MHT is better suited for women who frequently use saunas.

  • If your estrogen patch falls off, try to adhere it to the same spot or reapply to a new area of clean, dry skin. If it still doesn't stick, apply a new patch.

  • Your provider decides the strength of your estradiol patch based on your symptoms and health history, and adjusts it based on how you respond. Oral micronised progesterone is prescribed alongside it.

  • You may need a different dose if menopausal symptoms do not improve after four to six weeks of using the patch. However, it can take up to three months to feel the full effects of the medication. It's important to discuss any persistent symptoms with your provider, who can determine if a dose adjustment is right for you.

  • If you’re perimenopausal and still have your uterus, you’ll likely continue to experience scheduled bleeding, similar to a period. If you’re postmenopausal, you’ll no longer get periods. While it’s common for some women to experience irregular bleeding or spotting when starting HRT, any unexpected bleeding should always be discussed with your provider.

  • Patches containing estrogen are not available over the counter (OTC). Products sold OTC are typically herbal supplements, not medications. A prescription from a licensed provider is required to get a transdermal estrogen patch.

  • How long to stay on an estrogen patch is a personal decision made between you and your provider, based on your symptoms, your health history and how treatment is working for you. For some women, symptoms naturally resolve during their postmenopausal years, and they may choose to stop treatment.

  • Yes, estradiol patches have an expiration date printed on the packaging. Patches should not be used after they have expired. To dispose of expired estrogen patches, fold the adhesive sides of the patch together and place it inside a secure bag or container to keep out of reach of children and pets before throwing it in the trash.
